Online therapy is designated for those with mild to moderate behavioral symptoms. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts/behaviors, homicidal thoughts/behaviors, substance abuse, or psychotic symptoms that require intensive services, then online therapy will not be suitable for your needs.
Online therapy sessions are treated just like in-person therapy sessions. This means, the client and therapist will only be in the room from where they are conducting the therapy. No one else is allowed in order to protect client confidentiality. Services can only be provided to the client while they are in the state of California or Texas. The client cannot participate in the session while driving a vehicle; under the influence of drugs or alcohol; or running errands in public.
